Earlier this week, the first authentic flavor collaboration from Applied Nutrition was announced, with the internationally available brand — now including the US — partnering with legacy candy company Swizzels. Applied is not the first sports nutrition brand to team up with Swizzels; it has also worked with another UK-based giant in Myprotein for a variety of candy-inspired products, such as a Drumstick Clear Whey Isolate.
Applied Nutrition unveiled two authentically flavored supplements in its announcement of teaming up with Swizzels, both inspired by the classic chewy, raspberry and vanilla-tasting candy Drumstick. To start the partnership, the brand is rolling out red and yellow-striped Drumstick flavors of its compact pre-workout, the ABE Energy Shot, and its still relatively young, popular, and electrolyte-fueled hydration beverage, Bodyfuel.
This is indeed only the beginning of the partnership, as Applied Nutrition has revealed there are plans for even more products based on iconic sweets from the 95-year-old Swizzels. The brand is also launching authentic flavors of supplements inspired by Refreshers, the marshmallow treat Squashies, and Love Hearts hard candy. Those other collaborations are expected to be revealed and released in the coming months, and we’ll, of course, be sharing more information as soon as it is available.
