After dominating the world of fitness apparel for several years, the global giant Gymshark is bringing its well-established brand into the world of sports nutrition with Gymshark Pre. The clothing company’s first supplement features a moderate combination of ingredients and dosages, fitting for the massive audience it’s being introduced to and the price point it has given the pre-workout.
Gymshark Pre brings together common ingredients, including 4g of citrulline malate at a 2:1 ratio to support muscle pumps, 3.25g of creatine for muscle strength and size, and 2g of beta-alanine to drive performance and endurance. Rounding out the formula are B vitamins, a low 200mg of taurine, 100mg of theacrine, and for a reliable increase in energy, 200mg of the classic stimulant caffeine.
The moderate dosages in Gymshark Pre give you room to potentially double up and have two servings, which would move the formula closer to some of the stronger competitors in the pre-workout category with the likes of 8g of citrulline malate, 4g of beta-alanine, and 400mg of caffeine. The brand and supplement, however, do only recommend throwing down a single serving, of which you get 30 per tub.
The price of Gymshark Pre is certainly in the more mainstream range at £30 (36.66 USD), and it currently comes in one flavor with a traditional Blue Raspberry. The brand has launched its pre-workout as a limited edition item sold in store, online through its website, and at events. Many apparel companies have found success in supplements, and we suspect Pre is only the beginning for Gymshark.
