HighKey has several creative, delicious, and better-for-your functional creations on the market, from its variety of low-net carbohydrate cookies to some of its more decadent delights like the mouthwatering Caramel Clusters. The brand’s latest innovation is something almost everyone is familiar with, but in typical HighKey style, it has given the classic food a healthier twist.
HighKey has taken the famous Oreo format of a sandwich cookie with two crumbly chocolate cookies and a cream filling, and drastically dropped the sugar, carbohydrates, and calories. The brand is promoting the product with the phrase “Dunk without the junk”, an obvious play on the traditional way to prepare an Oreo cookie by dunking it in milk before eating and enjoying.
The nutrition profile on a single 12g sandwich of HighKey’s simply named Sandwich Cookies starts with only a gram of net carbohydrates, no sugar, 2g of fat, under a gram of protein, and an impressive 30 calories. A typical Oreo cookie is about the same size at 11.3g, but the macros are vastly different at 8.3g of carbohydrates, 4.6g of that sugar, 2.3g of fat, and a total of 53 calories.
Compared to the famous Oreo sandwich cookie, HighKey’s Sandwich Cookies are significantly lower in sugar, carbohydrates, and calories, staying true to that creative line of “Dunk without the junk”. The functional brand is launching the promising and undoubtedly delicious product this week in boxes of three packs, each of those packs having ten sandwiches.
