Formula 2.1 is one of Ekkovision’s ongoing, mainstream pre-workouts, and while it’s not short on highlights, packed full of reliable ingredients and solid dosages, it is about to become even better. The pre-workout specialist has announced that later this month, at precisely 5PM Central Time on Sunday the 20th, it is taking pre-orders for Formula 3.0, and many changes are involved, warranting that shift in name from 2.1 to 3.0.
Greatly improved formula
Ekkovision’s Formula 3.0 has everything that its predecessor, Formula 2.1 has, with a couple of the dosages tweaked. The HydroPrime branded glycerol has been halved from 4 to 2g, and the S7 pump-supporting blend has also dropped from 150 down to 100mg. What makes the 3.0 so different is that the brand has added a massive ten new ingredients to the mix, transforming it into a bit of a powerhouse.
You can see the facts panel for Ekkovision’s Formula 3.0 in the image below, and again, while 2.1 wasn’t short on highlights, 3.0 takes things up a notch, almost making the pre-workout unrecognizable. Joining the already strong list of ingredients for Formula 3.0 is a hefty 10g of citrulline malate for pumps, 2g of taurine, 2.5g of BetaPower betaine, 250mg of pine bark, half a gram of choline bitartrate, 100mg of theanine, and another 100mg dose of premium CognatiQ, previously Neurofactor.
Most of the components Ekkovision has added for its sequel pre-workout Formula 3.0, are there to enhance muscle pumps and improve mental focus, with the likes of 10g of citrulline malate, choline, and CognatiQ, certainly going to have an impact. The brand has upped the caffeine slightly as well, combining the original 250mg of caffeine anhydrous with 50mg of di-caffeine malate, which isn’t huge but a bump nonetheless.
Two versions
Another surprising and unique feature of Ekkovision’s Formula 3.0 is something we’ve seen from only a handful of others, and that is, there will be two variants. The regular (label above) Formula 3.0 pre-workout is going to have two flavors to choose from, then there will be another without the 3.5g of beta-alanine; however, in exchange for that loss, the brand adds in the premium performance ingredient elevATP.
Price and servings
Formula 3.0 is a clear sign that Ekkovision is open and willing to change, tweak, and improve its supplements as it goes, as while Formula is one of its ongoing products, overall, the brand is still incredibly young and not even a year old. Formula 3.0 will be available for pre-order at $52, cheaper than 2.1, although it does have fewer servings at 25 instead of 30, so it does work out to be more expensive per workout.
