House brand Laperva from the major sports nutrition retailer Dr. Nutrition in the UAE has introduced a spin-off of its premier pre-workout Triple Power. The original supplement goes with a broader range of ingredients for a well-rounded experience, including the likes of 2g of beta-alanine, under that usual 3.2g, a combined 2g of citrulline, a moderate 200mg of caffeine, and a reasonable amount of creatine monohydrate at 3g.
Laperva’s latest innovation is Triple Power Ripped, and while you may be like us and be thinking this is obviously a weight loss hybrid pre-workout, the difference on paper is quite surprising. Looking at Dr. Nutrition’s website and comparing the formulas of Triple Power and Triple Power Ripped, all of the ingredients and dosages are exactly the same, with the exception of the caffeine content.
You still get 2g of citrulline in Triple Power Ripped, 3g of creatine monohydrate, 2g of beta-alanine, and all of the other components packed into the regular Triple Power. Where the two separate is Triple Power Ripped has 80mg of caffeine from caffeine anhydrous and di-caffeine malate, whereas the original, as mentioned earlier, has two and a half times that at 200mg, also from caffeine anhydrous and di-caffeine malate.
It’s actually surprising how similar the two are, as the Triple Power spin-off Triple Power Ripped is basically a lower energy version, which isn’t what we would’ve guessed based on the name. You can pick up the supplement from Dr. Nutrition’s website, where even more interesting, Triple Power Ripped is more expensive than Triple Power at AED 130 (35.39 USD) versus AED 93.45 (25.44 USD), both with 30 servings a tub.
