As we’ve seen many sports nutrition brands do here in the US, Japanese competitor Kentai has partnered with the membership retailer Costco for a hugely discounted offering for one of its star products. Now available from Costco in Japan is Kentai’s simply named Protein Shake, an on-the-go protein RTD packed with 20g of protein, 12.2g of carbohydrates, 2.6g of fat, and 152 calories.
There are three flavors on the market for Kentai’s Protein Shake in Banana, Salted Caramel, and the coffee-themed Cafe Au Lait, of which specifically Salted Caramel has made its way to Costco. The membership retailer has begun stocking a large 24-bottle pack of the Kentai Protein Shake at ¥5,998 (44.67 USD), which is incredibly competitive, working out to ¥250 (1.86 USD) per bottle.
Not only is that price competitive, but it’s a lot cheaper than buying the product directly from Kentai’s online store; in fact, it is around 23% cheaper as it has boxes of 24 Protein Shakes ¥5,998 (57.91 USD).
