Nutrend is a brand of many different products and supplements, including several functional foods. This week it has dropped another on-the-go item in the traditional bar format, introducing the Nutrend Energy Bar. It is designed to be more of a fuel and performance bar, featuring a high amount of carbohydrates, as opposed to the typical sports nutrition angle of high protein.
Nutrend’s Energy Bar is made with glucose, oatmeal, pea protein for the marginally bumped-up amount of protein, premium Palatinose, and a coat of milk chocolate or yogurt. The macros on the energy-driving snack are indeed led by the carbohydrates at between 31 to 36g, with up to 20g of that sugar, 6 to 7g of protein, 8 to 10 of fat, and calories ranging from 244 to 262.
As mentioned, the new Energy Bar from Nutrend is built to provide energy, although not the caffeinated kind, more in the sense of the energy and fuel you get from carbohydrates. The product is out now in the brand’s home country of the Czech Republic, and it comes in a great selection of flavors in Sour Cherry and Orange, Hazelnut, Coconut, and Chocolate Brownies.
