When it comes to protein powder, we don’t tend to see all that much variance and creativity, as it’s typically a straightforward category with taste being one of the key difference makers. On occasions you get some intriguing changes on the presentation side with eye-catching labels, custom tubs, scoop technology, and if you can remember, way back there used to be products that had multiple flavors in the one supplement.
Back in 2019, Mutant brought back that multiple flavors in one supplement option with its Dual Chamber bag for Mutant Whey protein powder then eventually its signature Mutant Mass gainer. The bag uniquely has two connected chambers, where you open one side to get one flavor and the other to get something else. The UK company Naughty Boy has announced that soon, it is also going to have a two flavor bag on the market.
Coming down the pipeline from Naughty Boy is an all-new protein powder named The Whey Twins, which is separate from its current competitor in the category in Whey 100. The Whey Twins will be a more value-focused blend-style protein powder, and as mentioned it’ll have that two sided bag with a different flavor in each. The brand is set to launch the product in four pairs of flavors, with absolutely none of those being the same.
Naughty Boy has named two of or a pair of flavors that’ll be on The Whey Twins menu in Chocolate Layer Cake and Gelato33. The brand has not revealed the macros for the supplement yet, although, once again, it is a value-focused protein powder, so we imagine they’ll be fairly typical. Despite the unique packaging format, the price of The Whey Twins will be competitive with the combined 2kgs for between £40 (54.11 USD) and £45 (60.87 USD).
