Baking mixes are a lot more common in Europe, with sports nutrition and functional companies like Foodspring filling its line with several options in that area. This week the always busy German brand is at it again, launching another high-protein baking mix with Protein Muffin for fans to create protein-packed muffins in the comfort of their own homes.
Foodspring’s powder product Protein Muffin is made with wheat flour, cocoa butter, and the sources wheat, field bean, and chickpea protein to give you a solid 16g of protein per muffin. That goes alongside a reasonable 29 to 33g of carbohydrates with an impressive 1.2g or less of that sugar, 9.4 to 12g of fat, and a calorie count ranging between 256 and 265.
Foodspring does make it easy to prepare and bake its Protein Muffin mix with four simple steps. All you need to do is combine the powder with water and sunflower oil, mix until smooth, pour into a muffin tray, and bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes. If you want to give the product a try, it’s available now at €7.99 a bag in Double Chocolate and Blueberry flavors.
