Legacy supplement company Rival Nutrition, previously known as RivalUs, has released a new product called Steam BCAA Energy, similar to its already available Steam BCAA. On the outside, it features Rival’s recent rebrand; then, on the inside, you get a formula that’s much the same as Steam BCAA, although with a bit of energy, hence the name of the supplement.
Rival Nutrition’s Steam BCAA Energy carries over the 5g dose of BCAAs, at the usual 2:1:1 ratio from the original Steam BCAA, and combines it with a reasonable 100mg of caffeine to increase energy. There are also some electrolytes in there to support and improve hydration; however, it does not have those other ingredients found in Steam BCAA in citrulline and glutamine.
Interestingly, when shopping directly with Rival Nutrition through its online store, you won’t pay anything more for Steam BCAA Energy than you would the same size tub of Steam BCAA. Both products are priced at $29.99 for a bottle of 30 servings on rivalnutrition.com, and they have mostly the same flavors in Peach Mango, Blue Raspberry, Watermelon, and Peach Mango.
