Ladder is a unique sports nutrition company that launched back in 2018 and gained a lot of attention due to the fact it’s designed by the trainers of celebrity athletes such as Lebron James and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Another interesting feature of Ladder was initially; it only sold its small range of supplements by way of subscription with 30, 45, and 60-day options.
Despite being on the market for almost three years, Ladder has not expanded its selection of supplements all that much. Since its debut, it has only added one product to the lineup in “Hydration“, although this week, that becomes two with “Plant-Based Nutrition Shake”. The supplement is similar but separate from the brand’s original “Plant Protein”.
Plant-Based Nutrition Shake is a pea protein-based vegan-friendly protein powder, packing 20g of protein per serving, 8g of carbohydrates, 2.5g of fat, and 140 calories. Those macros are similar to Ladder’s Plant Protein; however, the differences are Nutrition Shake does not have added enzymes or probiotics; instead, it has a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals.
It’s interesting to see Ladder launch something somewhat similar to what it already has on offer, especially with the many other categories it could have entered. Plant-Based Nutrition Shake is available on the brand’s website in 30 serving bags and boxes of 30 sachets, and it is more expensive than Ladder’s Plant Protein at a high $66.95 for the bag and $77.95 for the box.
