Food giant General Mills is known for several iconic foods and snacks, especially in the cereal aisle, including nostalgic products like Boo Berry, Cheerios, Count Chocula, Lucky Charms, and Cheerios, to name a few. For 2021, General Mills has actually taken two of its classic breakfast cereals and turned them into something for the world of sports nutrition.
You can now get Golden Grahams and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Protein Bars, both packing a respectable 20g of protein per bar and a low amount of sugar at only 2g. The rest of the macros in the products are not too bad either, with 10g of fat, and a total of 24g of carbohydrates and 240 calories in Golden Grahams, and 22g of carbs and 220 calories in Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
The nutrition profiles are surprisingly not too bad, with around the same amount of protein as most protein bars we see and a reasonable amount of calories. They also appear to have a delicious build to them with multiple layers of texture and taste, all intended to deliver a Golden Grahams or Cinnamon Toast Crunch-like experience, but with a lot more protein.
