In January, The Skinny Food Co released its first-ever protein bar in the Skinny Duo Bar, packing a respectable 12g of protein from its two pieces per pack and a reasonable 198 calories. The product is available in three tasty flavors and aims for a more candy bar-like experience while still delivering great taste and texture, making it more about form and flavor than function and nutrition.
Now confirmed to be coming soon from The Skinny Food Co, along with the many other new items it’s recently announced, is the Skinny Light Bar. The product promises to be high in protein and low in sugar, like the Skinny Duo Bar, but lighter overall. It is said to have 60 to 65 calories, which we imagine is per piece with two pieces per pack, like the Duo Bar, giving it a total of 120 to 130 calories.
The Skinny Food Co’s Skinny Light Bar is also coming soon in three flavors, although they’re not entirely the same as the Skinny Duo Bar in Double Chocolate, Jaffa Cake, and Salted Caramel. We have yet to try the UK functional brand’s original Duo Bar, although since it’s going to have two protein bars on the market very soon, we may have to get an order in and try them first hand.
