Elite Donut aims for classic donut taste and texture but with much better macros

It’s no secret we’re big fans of health and nutrition-focused functional foods, from the more traditional protein-packed snack to tasty, lower-protein treats and low carbohydrates keto-friendly treats. Over the past few years, there have been some intriguing and exciting entries in the market, with Elite Sweets being one of those more unique brands.

Elite Sweets makes only one product with the neatly named Elite Donut, which is a high-protein and keto-friendly donut. It essentially aims for all of the taste and texture of a classic donut, but with much better nutrition. A single Elite Donut packs a solid 12 to 13g of protein, 1 to 5g of net carbohydrates, no added sugar, 12 to 18g of fat, and 190 to 240 calories.

Those macros range so much as there are indeed some significant differences nutritionally between Elite Sweet’s three flavors of the Elite Donut. Those flavors are Chocolate, the most calorie-dense and lowest in protein, Cinnamon Sugar, and the leanest of the lot, Birthday Cake, providing 13g of protein and 190 calories.

Based on the popularity of Elite Sweets, it does sound like the Elite Donut is quite a tasty protein snack, although we may need to get our hands on some to find out for ourselves. You can get a closer look at the brand and its signature product over at elitedonut.com, where you can buy the treat in boxes of six and 12, with Amazon also stocking the Elite Donut.
