Swedish functional food and sports nutrition brand Fast, has come out with a full family of workout based products with one for before your training, one for during, then one after. Each of the supplements comes with a relatively straightforward formula and is named after the window it’s intended for in ‘Prework’, ‘Intra’, and ‘Reco’ for recovery.
As mentioned, the ingredients Fast has packed into its workout series are quite simple. Starting with Prework, you get a moderate 3.4g of citrulline malate per serving, 1.6g of beta-alanine, 4.4g of creatine monohydrate, a gram of tyrosine for focus, and a reasonable 175mg of caffeine. Nothing is dosed overly high, which is similar to the other products in the line.
The next Fast supplement is Intra, featuring electrolytes to support hydration, more citrulline malate at 3g, and 6.8g of eight of the nine EAAs, with tryptophan being the one missing. Last is Fast Reco, a protein and carbohydrate formula to support recovery, with 30g of protein from whey concentrate, 31g of carbohydrates from dextrose and maltodextrin, 2.8g of fat, 269 calories, and a bit more creatine monohydrate at 3.5g.
Separately, Fast’s workout series products aren’t anything entirely new, but it is clear they’ve been designed to be used together. The overlap of citrulline malate and creatine monohydrate ensures you get solid dosages when using all three supplements, with the entire stack aiming to improve performance, endurance, energy, strength, and muscle recovery.
There are some retailers already stocking Fast’s Preworkout, Intra, and Reco, and they’re not that expensive, in fact, they’re all priced the same, with Proteinbolaget selling them at 169 kr (20.49 USD) each, with 14 to 15 servings per bag.
