When it comes to reviewing new flavors and expansions for various products and supplements, we don’t always get around to sharing the experience on the site, but we do our best to personally try them. This is especially the case when it comes to products on our top lists that are primarily based on taste, such as best protein bar, protein snack, and our new energy drink list.
Barebells, the maker of our number one protein bar, recently released a limited, Christmas edition flavor with Holiday Puffs. Despite not liking the brand’s last Christmas flavor all that much in Crunchy Fudge, we spent the money to get our hands on it, and it was well worth it. We’re even going to go as far as saying Holiday Puffs is Barebells’ best new flavor of its protein bar in quite some time.
It has an incredibly smooth consistency, smoother than a lot of its other flavors, with puffy crisps and sweet chocolate around the outside, and salty caramel and an almost soft, creamy body on the inside. The last time we had a flavor of the Barebells Protein Bar that impressed this much was Mint Dark Chocolate, the brand’s limited-edition flavor for Christmas of 2018 that is now permanent.
If you can get your hands on the product, we suggest you do, as it is something all Barebells fans need to try. It doesn’t take any of the top spots for us on the protein bar’s menu, but it’s certainly up there. Holiday Puffs further solidifies the reputable product’s position as the best bar on the market, and we have our fingers crossed the brand makes it permanent as it’s done for its last two Christmas flavors.
