The major European retailer XXL Nutrition, continues its run of releases today with details on another fresh new product for its own line, introducing the Natural Energy Bar. Unlike most of the snacks and functional foods from XXL, its latest edible is not high in protein, but a more carbohydrate-based product designed to provide a good source of energy and fuel.
XXL Nutrition’s Natural Energy Bar is an oat-based product packing 29.9g of carbohydrates in a single 50g bar with 18.15g of that sugar. The other macros are much lighter in 5.4g of fat, 3.4g of protein, and a calorie count of 188. As mentioned, it is indeed a carb-based snack, so definitely steer clear if you’re after something to have on the go with that usual 20g of protein.
There is just the one flavor available for Natural Energy Bar to start in Apple Pie, which is also vegan-friendly and made with apple powder to give it a more realistic experience. The product is available directly from XXL Nutrition, through its online store, where a single bar will cost you €1.79 (2.10 USD), and a box of 12 is slightly more cost-effective at €19.95 (23.42 USD).
