South African brand MetaLab recently revealed it was working on a new version of one of its first few supplements in the stimulant-powered pre-workout Spellbound. All the company originally said was the product would be the first to feature its branded ingredient blend MetaPump, without any mention of anything else in the pre-workout.
To get its growing fanbase excited, MetaLab has shared the full formula behind its new and improved Spellbound, and while it does indeed feature MetaPump, there are a lot of other things in there that separate it from the original. You can see the complete list of ingredients powering the supplement in the facts panel below, where you’ll notice several ingredients have been removed as well as some new ones added.
Like its predecessor, MetaLab’s Spellbound V2 aims to deliver a well-rounded combination of benefits, including increased energy and focus, and improved pumps and performance. For energy and focus, the brand has packed the pre-workout with highlights such as a gram each of tyrosine and choline bitartrate, a solid 200mg of Dynamine, and a combined 300mg of caffeine from a couple of sources.
Some of the features MetabLab has thrown in for pumps and performance are taurine, the commonly used beta-alanine at 2.5g per serving, and 2g of GlycerSize glycerol. As mentioned, the brand is also using its new MetaPump in the product, which is its own pump enhancing blend of ingredients with 7.75g of pure citrulline, watermelon extract, arginine, and ornithine.
With details of what’s in MetaLab’s Spellbound V2 now out there, we are, of course, not far away from the actual arrival of the supplement. The brand has said it plans to drop the revamped pre-workout before the new year, so sometime in the next couple of months. It is due to arrive in two flavors with Pomegranate Rose and Sour Watermelon Candy, and have slightly fewer servings per tub at 20.
