One of the biggest knocks we had on Myprotein’s candy bar-like protein snack Carb Crusher when it released back in 2018, was that it had quite a tough consistency. The main body made the product a whole lot chewier than its tastier competitors already available in the UK, although it now looks like the brand has changed that.
This week, Myprotein has launched a new and improved version of its Carb Crusher protein bar that is said to have a better texture than the previous one. As mentioned, that was one of the biggest things that held back the product when we initially tried it, however with the new version, that chewy consistency may no longer be an issue.
The taste of Myprotein’s Carb Crusher protein bar is also said to be improved. The revamped product has been re-released with three flavors to choose from in Caramel Nut, Peanut Butter, and Fudge Brownie. The macros on the snack are pretty much the same with 22 to 24g of protein, less than 2g of sugar, and around 200 calories.
The new and improved Carb Crusher is now available for purchase from Myprotein’s main UK website at £23.99 (31.53 USD) for a box of 12 protein bars.
