This coming Friday, after months of selling it as a prototype product, The Dough Bar is making its Protein Monkey Bread, a permanent part of its family. The brand’s Monkey Bread is a tasty, soft, and mouthwatering pull-apart bread that’s high in protein and low in sugar, along the same lines as its doughnuts, although it is a bit more calorie-dense.
The nutrition profile on The Dough Bar’s Protein Monkey Bread does vary between each of its delicious flavors. The product has around 16 to 17g of protein, 25 to 32g of carbohydrates with 4 to 7g of that sugar, 6 to 9g of fat, and a total number of calories sitting as low as 215, but as high as 279.
Since launching the first version of its Protein Monkey Bread, The Dough Bar has put together several sell-out flavors, starting with the originals, Chocolate Chip and Caramel Pecan. Things then got a lot more creative with Birthday Cake, Chocolate Pretzel with mini M&M’s, Mixed Berry Streusel, Peanut Butter Oreo, and Hot Cocoa.
As mentioned, this Friday on its website, The Dough Bar is making its Protein Monkey Bread a staple part of the lineup, although its flavors have yet to be decided. The brand is asking fans to vote on Instagram for the four options they would like to see on the very unique protein snack’s menu when it gets its official release in just two days.
