The second round of the 2019 Protein Wars is now underway with the top 24 from our huge first round that had over 100 different protein powders entered. Last week saw a record-setting number of votes for our annual protein showdown with several newcomers to the contest progressing, and some surprise knockouts.
You can see the full list of competitors in round two of the Protein Wars over at proteinwars.com, where you can also submit your votes. Some of the products that have progressed for the first time include GNC’s Wheybolic, Protein Creations from NutraOne, Bare Performance Nutrition Protein, and Protein Plus from Flow Nutrition.
Past winners MTS Nutrition Machine Whey and Nutrabio Whey Protein Isolate have made it to the second round; however, the biggest surprise is ISO-Protein from MAN Sports. The two-time champion has in fact, been knocked out early, which is further proof that this year’s Protein Wars is the most voted and competitive to date.
Once again, you can see all of the protein powders that have progressed into round two of the Protein Wars at proteinwars.com. The top 24 from the first round have been broken up into six groups of four, with the winner from each group set to go on to next week’s semifinal, then the final two will move on to our grand final the following week.
As per usual, this week’s round of the Protein Wars is going to run until midnight this coming Sunday. Fans and followers can vote once per group, every 24 hours, giving you a maximum of seven votes across the week.
