Earlier this year, PhD Nutrition introduced a plant-based version of its great-tasting, high-protein Smart Bar in four different flavors. The product provides between 20 to 23g of protein and features a smooth consistency, reasonably effective flavors, and a lasting earthy aftertaste.
PhD Nutrition has now launched another competitor for the vegan-friendly supplement market with Smart Protein Plant. Just like the Smart Bar Plant, the Smart Protein Plant is a spin-off of the UK brand’s Smart Protein powder made with pea and soy protein instead of whey and milk protein.
Smart Protein Plant comes with 19 to 21g of protein per serving, around 2g of carbohydrates, less than a gram of sugar, about a gram of fat, and 95 to 97 calories. PhD Nutrition has also included the branded probiotic Lactospore in Smart Protein Plant to support digestive health.
Being that the product is from PhD Nutrition, Smart Protein Plant does, of course, have a variety of tasty flavors to choose from. There is Chocolate Cookie, Salted Caramel, and the strawberry, meringue, and whipped cream English dessert Eton Mess. They all come in the one size with a 500g bag, packing 20 servings.
PhD Nutrition’s newest Smart Series supplement is available starting this week through its online store where it has a regular price of £19.99 (25.69 USD). The brand is also running a sale right now with 30% off using the coupon “TREAT30”, which drops the vegan-friendly protein to £13.99 (17.98 USD).
