The delicious healthy frozen food company Enlightened has introduced an all-new series of ice cream this week with the very unique Keto Collection. The brand’s latest effort is a family of ice creams that instead of being high in protein like its other frozen treats, they lean more towards the keto side of life.
Enlightened’s Keto Collection is made up of tubs of ice cream in seven flavors, as well as ice cream bars in four different flavors. As mentioned, the products are not high in protein; instead, they’re true to their keto name and high in fat, with a low total of net carbohydrates and free of artificial sweeteners.
To give you an idea on the macros of Enlightened’s new products, a full tub of its Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip ice cream tub starts with a heavy 68g of fat. You then have 12g of protein, 4g of net carbohydrates, and a total of 760 calories. The brand’s new keto ice cream is made with ingredients like cream, egg yolks, coconut oil, and skim milk.
The flavors Enlightened has put together for its two Keto Collection products, include Dark Chocolate, Mint Chocolate Chip, Marshmallow Peanut Butter, and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip for the ice cream on a stick.
As for Enlightened’s one-pint tubs of keto-friendly ice cream, there is Mint Chocolate Chunk, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Red Velvet, and Peanut Butter Fudge. It also has a bunch of more unique flavor creations such as Coffee & Cream, Butter Pecan, and Chocolate Glazed Donut.
At the moment only Enlightened’s Keto Collection tubs are available for purchase with its ice cream bars coming later this year. The seven different flavors of the ice cream tubs can be purchased directly through the brand’s website as well as Sprouts Farmers Market, ShopRite, Wegmans Food Markets, and Weis.
