The New Zealand-based protein ice cream company IsoCream, has unveiled its dairy-free product this week, and as expected, it is quite a creative release. The brand does not use any of the more common dairy-free sources of protein for its newest ice cream; instead, it has gone with hemp protein.
The dairy-free ingredient powering IsoCream’s newest product keeps the amount of protein per tub reasonably high, although not quite as high as the brand’s original ice creams. The macros on the hemp protein ice cream do vary between each its two flavors, which are both traditional tastes in Chocolate and Vanilla.
The Chocolate is the slightly lower calorie dense flavor of the two dairy-free IsoCreams packing 25.5g of protein, 19.5g of fat, 10.5g of carbohydrates with 6g of that sugar, and 425 calories. As for the Vanilla, it has 24g of protein per tub, 24.5g of fat, 9g of carbs with 7g of that sugar, and a total of 470 calories.
IsoCream has confirmed that both flavors of its dairy-free, hemp protein ice cream are coming to stores soon, with the “Where To Buy” section on its website being the place to find a stockist near you.
