Enlightened has officially launched a spin-off of its signature high protein ice cream with a dairy-free version. Due to the different ingredients used to make the product, its macros are not the same as the original ice cream with a lower amount of protein but around the same calories.
The major change in formula with the dairy-free Enlightened ice cream is that it isn’t made with skim milk and milk protein like the original. Instead, the brand’s all-new product uses almond milk and broad bean protein to give it that higher amount of protein.
As for the nutrition profile (Chocolate PB) behind the Enlightened dairy-free ice cream, a single tub provides a total of 16g of protein. You then have 20g of fat, 56g of carbohydrates with 16g of that sugar and 12g fiber, and a calorie count of 400.
Those macros mentioned above are all for the product’s Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor, which is just one of its seven options. The other flavors are Triple Shot Espresso, Cookies & Mint, Chocolate Almond Macaron, Ooey Gooey Cinnamon Bun, Candy Bar Crunch, and Monkey Business.
According to Enlightened, its new, vegan-friendly, dairy-free high protein ice cream pints are out and available now. Fans of the brand and those interested in trying any or all of the product’s flavors can find them over at Sprouts Farmers Market and ShopRite supermarket locations.
