Quest Cookie Review: Delicious, flavor filled protein cookie

Quest Cookie Review

Back in 2016 Quest Nutrition launched a high protein Quest Cookie through its insider program Quest Labs. That product turned out to be one of the best cookies we’d ever had at the time, then earlier this year the brand finally released the supplement to the public.

Seeing as the original beta cookie proved to be extremely impressive, we felt it necessary to try the publicly launched version. Following its arrival early last month we decided to pick up three of each flavor to bring you today’s Quest Cookie review.

Nutrition profile

Regarding its macros, the Quest Cookie provides 15g of protein from milk and whey isolate, 19g of carbohydrates with 9g of that fiber and less than a gram sugar, 17g of fat (10g saturated), and a total of 250 calories. As per usual, those numbers do vary across the product’s four flavors which are Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin, and Double Chocolate Chip.

Flavor and consistency

Compared to the version we got from Quest Labs over a year ago, the new Quest Cookie is quite a bit different. The flavor of the main cookie dough has a slightly different taste to it, most noticeable in the classic Chocolate Chip option. We also feel the Chocolate Chip has fewer chips than we remember, taking a little bit of sweetness out of the overall experience.

Favorite flavors

Despite its two differences, the Chocolate Chip Quest Cookie is still one of our two favorites from the product’s four flavor menu. It may have a chewy and doughy body; however, its chunky chocolate chips keep things interesting by filling every bite with at least one sweet chocolate hit.

Our other favorite is the Peanut Butter Quest Cookie, which could almost pass as a separate cookie compared to the Chocolate Chip. It has a crunchier, more realistic body, which as you chew tastes more and more like a mouthful of peanut butter. The flavor also has peanuts scattered throughout, really reinforcing its title taste.

Summary

While the publicly launched Quest Cookie isn’t quite as delicious as we remember the Quest Labs one being, it’s still pretty good. It doesn’t taste like a lot of the other cookies out there, which is always nice to see as it gives those that enjoy it, a reason to keep going back.

If you’d like to try a protein cookie that isn’t as thick as most of the others out there or are looking for something with a different kind of consistency. You may want to pick up the Quest Cookie, and if you’re not completely confident in it, they are available individually in a number of places.
