Out now in Australia and New Zealand is a new protein snack from Optimum Nutrition that doesn’t appear to be available anywhere else in the world. The product is an on-the-go protein packed snack called Optimum Protein Stix, that at least looks like it’ll taste quite delicious.
Double or single
The still relatively new supplement comes packaged in packs of one or two chocolate coated sticks, hence the name Protein Stix. The macros are the same for each stick, regardless of whether you get the single or double pack, the double, however, obviously comes with two stix.
Protein Stix nutrition
The macros for Optimum Protein Stix per stick are between 10 to 12g of protein, 1 or 2 grams of sugar, 3 to 5g of fat, and a total of 120 to 130 calories. The protein is powered by a blend of four different protein sources in soy protein, whey isolate, whey concentrate, and calcium caseinate.
Three delicious flavors
The reason the nutrition numbers above all vary is that there are three flavors of Optimum Protein Stix, each having a different set of macros. Those three delicious sounding flavors are Dark Chocolate, Cherry & Coconut; Milk Chocolate, Nougat & Caramel; and Milk Chocolate & Nougat, which has the most protein at 23g.
