Performax Labs recently announced that it’d be reformulating its creatine PowerMax XT, into more of an intra-workout creatine supplement while still keeping the PowerMax name. The brand has now revealed everything that’s changed in the product, from added and removed ingredients, to slightly altered features.
PowerMax XT changes
For fans of Performax Labs’ original PowerMax XT, a lot of the new version is going to be familiar. Almost everything from the current PowerMax has carried over to the reformulation with the ingredients remaining the same including 2.5g of betaine, and the muscle pump blend of 1.5g of taurine, a gram of glycerol, and sodium and potassium phosphate.
Where the big changes come in is with PowerMax XT’s creatine, glutamine, and amentoflavone. Firstly, Performax has swapped creatine monohydrate and creatinol-o-phosphate for a 3g blend of monohydrate, chelate, and creatine anhydrous. The glutamine has also been swapped for a blend, going from 2.5g of l-alanyl l-glutamine to a 2.5g mix of glutamine, alanine, and l-alanyl l-glutamine.
Lastly, we have the amentoflavone, which has also been swapped out but for something else entirely. Taking the ingredient’s place in PowerMax XT is 6g of whey protein hydrolysate, in the idea that it provides you with a full blend of BCAAs and EAAs. Alongside that Performax has also included 3g of leucine, to further help with recovery and muscle growth.
Creatine + intra-workout
Overall, Performax Labs has done exactly what it said a few months back, and that is turn PowerMax XT into an intra-workout + creatine powerhouse. The brand has added and changed enough so it can indeed say that, with the only real loss being the amentoflavone, although the whey and leucine bring many benefits making it a strong trade.
According to Performax Labs the new PowerMax XT is currently one to two weeks away from being released. It’ll arrive in the one Orange Dream flavor, with five fewer servings in its tub compared to the original at 25.
