A new Optimum Nutrition snack has surfaced this week that looks very similar to one we’ve seen from the international brand before. The new product is the Optimum Protein Oats Flapjack, which is along the same lines as the UK and Europe only Oats & Whey Flapjack and is also currently only available in the same areas.
Just as its title suggests, the latest on-the-go Optimum solution is a flapjack snack made from oats and protein. Each of the large 80g bars provides the usual 20g of protein, as well as 39g of carbohydrates with 5.7g of that sugar and 3g fiber, 7.3g of fat (2.1g saturated), for a total of 289 calories.
The ingredients used to power the new Optimum Protein Oats Flapjack include of course rolled and toasted malted oats, milk protein, and the very different protein source, hydrolyzed collagen. Much like the product mentioned earlier, the new Optimum Protein Oats Flapjack comes in three different flavors with Banana & Yoghurt, Blueberry, and Chocolate Peanut Butter.
The UK retailer Tropicana Fitness appears to be one of the first to stock the oat powered snack priced at £19.99 (approx. $24.65 USD), for a full 12 bar box. Unfortunately, Tropicana does only have stock of one of the Optimum Protein Oats Flapjack at the moment with Blueberry.
