As well as completely revealing its two new, rather large supplement lines recently, the Branch Warren Series and Flex Wheeler Series. Black Skull has unveiled a new product that enters it into a category we’ve never seen it in before, with the protein bar Zero One.
While we have yet to see any pictures of the bar itself, the formula and macros behind Black Skull Zero One do look fairly impressive. Each bar weighs in at 60g and provides 21g of protein from a blend of whey isolate, milk isolate, and whey hydrolysate. You then have 25g of carbohydrates with only 3g of that sugar, 4g glycerol, and 15g fiber, a light 5g of fat (2g saturated), for a small total of 180 calories.
It is, of course, going to be interesting to see how these taste, but if you’re someone who cares more about numbers than anything, 21g of protein for 180 calories is low. For example, our current favorite protein bar, Grenade’s Carb Killa, has the same amount of protein but around 20% more calories.
Black Skull is already listing the Zero One bar in its Brazilian online store in preparation for its arrival at a price of R$15.74 (approx. $5 USD). It is due to be introduced in four different flavors in Cookie Dough, Salted Caramel, Chocolate Brownie, and Peanut Butter.
There is no word on whether or not the Zero One bar will be making it to Black Skull’s US line-up, with its listing on its website only really confirming its availability for Brazil for now.
