Just as Cellucor did near the end of last year when it rebranded its regular C4 as C4 Original, it has now rebranded its more stimulating C4 50X as C4 Extreme Energy. Unlike with C4 Original however, the new C4 Extreme Energy features a new and improved version of the 50X formula.
The main idea behind C4 Extreme Energy is still the same as C4 50X, with the pre-workout being a more intense version of the regular C4. Basically, it’s for Cellucor fans that are after a little more stimulation, or at least something more energizing than C4 Original.
While the idea behind the new C4 50X has remained the same, Cellucor has in fact made a few tweaks to its formula. All three of 50X’s transparent ingredients have been given different doses with the beta-alanine being bumped up to 3.2g, and the NO3-T creatine nitrate and arginine AKG being knocked down from 1.5g per serving to just a single gram.
There have also been a lot of changes made to the main proprietary blend for C4 Extreme Energy, which now weighs in at 831mg instead of C4 50X’s 557mg. The extra weight comes from the new additions to the blend as Cellucor has carried over n-acetyl-l-tyrosine, caffeine, velvet bean, and TeaCrine, and dropped its caffeine pterostilbene for rauwolfia and huperzine A.
As well as getting a slightly different formula for its transformation, Cellucor has also given C4 Extreme Energy an all-new menu. The reformualted supplement is due to be available in a total of four different flavors with Strawberry Kiwi, Lemon Drop, Cherry Limeade, and the only one from C4 50X’s menu with Icy Blue Razz.
At the moment C4 Extreme Energy is only being promoted as coming soon, so for now Cellucor fans can stick with the original C4 50X.
