As we’ve said many times before, you can’t always judge a pre-workout by its label. There are however supplements that sometimes just look so good on paper that the only question remaining is how good is it in the gym? Today we believe we have another one of those pre-workouts with the upcoming Sparta Nutrition product, Sparta Kraken.
The reason we’re quite excited about this one is because it packs a lot of effective pre-workout ingredients, all at pretty solid doses. Its balance is a bit different from some of the similar, top rated formulas we’ve tried, however it does definitely look like it’s going to be interesting.
Like all good pre-workouts the new Sparta Kraken is 100% transparent, listing exact doses for each and every one of its 10 main ingredients. From heaviest to lightest those ingredients are 4g of citrulline, 3.2g CarnoSyn beta-alanine, 2g Hydromax glycerol, a gram each of taurine and agmatine, half a gram of acetyl-l-tyrosine, 250mg eria jarensis, 200mg each of caffeine and DMHA, and lastly 100mg of norvaline.
Sparta Kraken
As you can see the upcoming Sparta Kraken squeezes in quite a bit, and being a DMHA pre-workout you know it’s going to pack a punch. Also as mentioned its balance is a little bit different compared to some of our favorites, for example if you’re a fan of 300 to 400mg of caffeine you’re out of luck on this one. Basically a few of the ingredients and doses in Kraken that you’d usually have room to double, you can’t due to the product having a one scoop maximum. It should still be a very interesting pre-workout, as plenty of brands have proved that you don’t always need the highest doses of everything for a formula to work well.
Sparta Kraken is due to have a pre-sale launched sometime this week through the brand’s website at spartanutrition.com. We’re not yet sure on its price or if it’ll be available with a deal of any kind, but you will have two unique, 20 serving flavors to choose from in Sour Gummy Bear and Sex On The Beach.
