Optimum’s Opti-Bar unveiled and now available for pre-order at GNC

opti-bar

Last month Optimum Nutrition hit the European market with an all-new protein bar competitor simply named Optimum Protein Bar. It was introduced in four flavors with Double Chocolate Brownie, Strawberry & Cream, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. A month later the brand has now unveiled a new competitor for the US market called Opti-Bar.

Optimum’s upcoming protein bar is actually a lot like the one we were introduced to last month for Europe, just slightly higher in calories. It’s also really no surprise the two are quite similar in formula, as when you look at their packaging side by side they’re even more alike.

The label for the new 60g Opti-Bar lists 20g of protein, 24g of carbohydrates (8g fiber, 6g sugar alcohol), 7g of fat (2g saturated), rounding out with a total of 240 calories. Those numbers do definitely vary from flavor to flavor, with some different by as much as 30 calories. Those delicious looking flavors are Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Cinnamon Pecan, Cookies ‘N Cream, and White Chocolate Raspberry.

Unlike the Optimum supplement we unveiled earlier this morning, Gold Standard Gainer, we do actually have some release details for Opti-Bar. Basically if you head to GNC’s website today and simply search “Opti-Bar”, you’ll find all five flavors are now available for pre-order.

The retailer has the product priced at $25.99 a box for Gold Card members, and $26.99 for everyone else. According to GNC pre-orders are expected to ship in exactly 16 days time on the 2nd of September.
