Just two days after officially confirming that it’s bringing the supplement back, Controlled Labs has revealed the label behind its resurrected White Flood. In the brand’s original announcement it said that the product would be coming back although not to replace its current stimulant pre-workout competitor White Rapids. Instead the 2016 edition of White Flood is going to be sold alongside White Rapids as another pre-workout option.
As promised the new White Flood is quite a bit different from Controlled Labs’ other pre-workout supplement. It does have some ingredients in common, however the overall idea appears to be that White Flood is a little more performance based with a strong hit of caffeine. In total Controlled Labs’ reformulated White Flood features eight different ingredients, half of which are from White Rapids. From heaviest to lightest you have 3g of citrulline malate, 2.5g creatine monohydrate, 1.6g CarnoSyn beta-alanine, 1.5g betaine, 1g taurine, half a gram of GABA and 150mg each of caffeine and dicaffeine malate.
The most interesting thing about that combination is its balance of ingredients, including the fact that the citrulline is dosed the same per serving as White Rapids. White Rapids however does have a two scoop maximum giving it a recommended 6g of citrulline per workout. For what ever reason the new White Flood goes against that theory as it only has a maximum of one scoop, meaning Controlled Labs’ essentially recommends 6g of citrulline malate in one product but only 3g in another. You could say it’s made to be stacked with Controlled Labs’ White Pipes as that also has 3g of citrulline, although that still leaves betaine behind as it’s only at 1.5g in the 2016 White Flood but 2.5g in White Rapids.
When the brand said it was bringing back White Flood and that it would be different from White Rapids, we expected to see a change in ingredients not necessarily doses. While the citrulline and betaine amounts certainly aren’t bad as we have seen worse, we’re mainly just surprised at Controlled Labs changing what it recommends.
For those after a closer look at the 2016 return of White Flood, we have added its official label below. Fans can also actually expect to get their hands on it very soon as Controlled Labs’ is aiming to have it out sometime this month.
