Pussycat Zero drops whey concentrate for isolate and Verisol

Black Skull has just unveiled an all new addition to its 2015 released Carol Saraiva Series. The latest from the Brazilian brand is in fact a spin-off of Pussycat Whey, called Pussycat Zero. After seeing all of its details we’re not entirely sure why it’s called Pussycat Zero as every number it has at 0, the original Pussycat Whey has as well.

Regardless of the reason behind its name, Pussycat Zero mainly sets itself apart from Black Skull’s first Pussycat formula by having a slightly different combination of proteins. Instead of whey concentrate, whey isolate and the apparently skim firming Verisol hydrolyzed collagen, Pussycat Zero has just the last two with whey isolate and Verisol. The result is a marginally lower amount of carbohydrates, fat and calories, although a higher amount of protein. Per serving the supplement packs 22g of protein, 1.5g of carbohydrates (1.2g fiber), 1g of fat and 110 calories.

What’s going to be most interesting to see when Pussycat Zero hits shelves is its price, as we don’t imagine it’s going to be overly cost-effective in its 600g tub size. The original Pussycat Whey was already a hard sell as in Brazil it’s more expensive than Black Skull’s own 100% whey isolate Isolon and only a bit cheaper than its 100% hydrolyzed whey Hydrolysis. With Pussycat Zero being 300g smaller than Pussycat Whey and cutting out whey concentrate, we expect its price to be more per serving which as mentioned will make for an interesting comparison to the likes of Isolon and Hydrolysis.
