Everything you need to know about Metabolic Nutrition’s all new lean gainer Musclean is here, from sizes and flavors to protein and calories. If you caught our last post on the supplement you’ll already know Musclean is a high protein, low carbohydrate formula, that also has a number of other highlights such as zero lactose, aspartame and trans fat. As promised Metabolic has gone with high protein and low carbs, although definitely a lot lower than we expected or have actually seen in a gainer.
Starting with the protein per serving Musclean packs 20g made up of whey isolate and concentrate, just 6g of carbohydrates (1g sugar, 3g fiber), 14g of fat, giving the product a low total of 218 calories. A lot of those numbers are obviously low due to the general size of the serving, although the brand does suggest using more than one. As you can see in the label below Musclean does list details for up three servings, tripling all the totals resulting in the likes of 60g of protein, 18g of carbohydrates and a more typical gainer calorie count of 654.
While the latest from Metabolic does come in two sizes a 50 serving 5lb and 25 serving 2.5lb, those servings do of course depend on how many you use at a time. If the single serving is fine then you will get 50 shakes out of the 5lb or 25 from the 2.5lb, double will get you 25 or 13, and triple about 17 or 8. Looking at the menu fans have four flavors to choose from for both tub sizes with Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry Milkshake.
Lastly Musclean can now be purchased direct from Metabolic’s website at $94.99 for the 5lb or $49.99 for the half-size 2.5lb. Those prices are as you’d expect quite expensive, however if you don’t mind waiting a bit the supplement will likely be hitting stores very soon.
