Ever since MusclePharm launched its protein bar Combat Crunch we’ve been able to stay on top of the supplement when it comes to reviews. We managed to get the first two flavors not too long after they launched, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. We then reviewed Chocolate Brownie and White Chocolate Raspberry, and lastly Cookies ‘N’ Cream and Cinnamon Twist. Today we have our Combat Crunch Birthday Cake review after finally heading into a local GNC and purchasing a box.
Just to give you an idea on the MusclePharm Combat Crunch flavors we like, our two favorites so far are White Chocolate Raspberry and Cookies ‘N’ Cream. The main reason behind that is they both manage to deliver a smooth almost milky sweetness all while packing a thick, chocolate consistency. As for how things sit after trying Combat Crunch Birthday Cake, our two favorites still remain at the top however that is in no way a knock on the GNC exclusive protein bar.
Not so surprisingly MusclePharm’s Birthday Cake tastes exactly like its name. The product’s signature consistency and chewy center points you in the direction of cake, with the flavor’s rainbow-colored candy crunch bits adding the necessary touch of birthday cake like sprinkles. All together the combination leaves you with a real birthday cake experience. The bar’s consistency and base flavor is actually a lot like White Chocolate Raspberry, just with a little more density. As mentioned the candy like crunch bits also add to the taste, with an interesting sweetness that does vary from piece to piece depending of course on how concentrated the crunch bits are.
Overall Combat Crunch Birthday Cake is pretty much what we expected. It tastes just like it’s titled giving the supplement an even bigger audience, as well as current and future fans another great option to choose from. With a total of seven flavors available we can now confirm that MusclePharm’s Combat Crunch is 7 from 7. While there was the chance the brand had put together it’s first disappointment, it turns out it is once again the opposite with Birthday Cake only strengthening the product’s reputation.
