Over the weekend BPI Sports made two pretty big announcements. Both of them were in relation to athletes joining the brand’s team, with both of those athletes also competing at the Olympia over the weekend. The two IFBB Pro bodybuilders BPI has welcomed aboard are Essa Obaid and Jose Raymond. You may not have seen Essa too much when it comes to supplement companies, Jose however you are likely to be a lot more familiar with.
While we don’t know too much about Essa Obaid’s sponsorship history, he did manage to sneak into the top 10 in the 2015 Mr. Olympia contest, coming in 10th behind veteran Victor Martinez. Moving on to Jose Raymond also known as the Boston Mass, as mentioned supplement fans should be more familiar with him especially those that follow or have followed MHP or iForce Nutrition.
Jose Raymond actually went from MHP to iForce a couple of years ago, and has obviously made another move this year to BPI. As far as his Olympia showing went the Boston Mass could have only done one place better as he fell just short, coming in second behind the now four-time 212 Olympia champion Flex Lewis.
Both Essa Obaid and Jose Raymond will no doubt make great additions to the BPI team, as we look forward to seeing more of them at events and in promotional material.
