The last we heard from Australia’s Body Science on their Gold Label Alpha Series was that the pre-workout K-OS was up next. There were only a handful of features that we could initially confirm, although this week the supplement has started showing up in stores revealing a handful of ingredients we didn’t know about before. On top of the four features previously named in creatine, beta-alanine, caffeine and arginine, the all new Gold Label K-OS packs seven other main ingredients.
Firstly it is worth confirming that the 3g of creatine in K-OS is creatine monohydrate, a detail originally left out when news first came in on the pre-workout. Moving on to the other seven in the product, Body Science has continued on with the transparency seen in Hydroxy Shred, as each and every one of K-OS’ ingredients are unfortunately listed with doses. We say unfortunately as if you’re someone looking for a good amount of things like taurine, tyrosine and carnitine l-tartrate, K-OS might disappoint.
Those three features mentioned are probably the most commonly used ingredients out of the other seven, however they aren’t even close to the doses you’ll find in most competitors. While carnitine l-tartrate isn’t anywhere near as bad as the others at 50mg per serving, tyrosine makes the formula at just 100mg and taurine at a rather surprising 30mg per serving. Even at two scoops the doses aren’t anything to be proud of, especially since something like Pre Jym has the same amount of tyrosine in two scoops as K-OS does in an entire tub, and more taurine in one serving than 30 of K-OS.
As mentioned there are seven ingredients in K-OS that we didn’t know about before, with the four others being 40mg of vitamin C, 20mg vitamin B6, 6mg schizandra and lastly 2mg of red wine extract. For those possibly interested in a closer look at the supplement we have added its facts panel below, and if you’d like to try it, as said earlier K-OS is now showing up in stores. Places like Aminoz and Mr Supplement are currently listing K-OS as well as Body Science’s own website, although the retailers are of course the better option priced between 30 and $35 a tub as opposed to $40.
