On Monday news came in on the latest supplement from Optimum Nutrition, unveiling the whey protein formula Protein Energy. If the name of the product didn’t give its intentions away, then its five confirmed highlights did, further detailing its obvious combination of energy and whey protein. Today we’ve now got the supplement’s contents to go over for each of its 26 two scoop servings. Starting from the top Protein Energy squeezes in 20g of protein, listing three sources whey concentrate, isolate and hydrolysate. 1g of carbohydrates (1g fiber), 2g of fat (1g saturated), 100 calories, and a 220mg energy blend consisting of caffeine and green tea. Also on the label in the vitamins and minerals section are a few other important inclusions such as 24mcg of vitamin B12, 8mg of vitamin B6 and 30 IU of vitamin E. For those after a look at what’s exactly in Optimum’s Protein Energy, we have uploaded the product’s facts panel below. We are still unfortunately without any idea on release for the supplement, but if it’s anything like Gold Standard Pre-Workout it may only end up taking a month to hit shelves.
