Athlete’s protein Promasil reformulated, Rival Us introduce carbs to their protein

Updated Rival Us Promasil revealed with Nutrivo's name on the back

Last year Rival US announced that they had been acquired by Optimum Nutrition founders Mike and Tony Costello’s newly formed company, Nutrivo. In the months that followed no changes were made or updates released, just a few posts about some exciting developments. While we are unsure as to whether or not it is one of the exciting developments the brand were referring to. A reformulated version of the protein powder Promasil has surfaced. The supplement has not only appeared modified but in one, two, and 5lb tubs, with the larger 5lb being the volume not available with the last edition of Promasil. As for the actual changes to the protein’s formula it now features 24g of protein with a reordered list of forms in whey isolate, concentrate, hydrolysate, milk isolate, micellar casein, egg, and goat milk protein. The product also has 3g of carbohydrates (1g sugar), 1g of fat (0.5g saturated), and 120 calories. These details are all based on the milk chocolate Promasil label that has been uploaded, with Nutrivo’s name printed on the back. We expect a bit more information to surface as the new version spreads, including official flavors and sizes. But it does seem that at some point Rival US will need to remove that 0g carb highlight from the Promasil page on their website.
