Labrada Nutrition have brought their age old pre-workout Super Charge! back into the modern day market with a slightly new and marginally different formula. The supplement sequel has dropped it’s predecessor’s N.O. suffix, and is going by the name Super Charge! Xtreme 4.0. For those fans who are a little worried that they may be losing their favorite pre-workout, Labrada have not made many changes so it’s experience shouldn’t be too different.
Starting off with the losses, Super Charge has dropped citrulline-di-malate, beta anhydrous, and halved it’s glutamine dose from 500mg to 250mg. As for the swapped ingredients, Labrada have switched their 750mg of beta alanine for 750mg of CarnoSyn, and thrown out the 1.5g of Creapure and 2CM, for 1g of a creatine mono complex called CreaLean. On top of the unexciting updates is Super Charge’s inclusion of BCAAs and the popular Pepform. Unfortunately with the doses Labrada have used for the two, they aren’t overly impressive.
While most of the changes seem rather unnecessary, the brand do have two things that go down as highlights. Previously Super Charge! carried the Speed X3 feature Pikatropin at a dose of 25mg. For the new Xtreme 4.0 version it has been substantially increased to 500mg. The second improvement, like the other edits, won’t affect the product’s performance. However fans are always appreciative of more flavors, which is exactly what Labrada have done. The pre-workout has launched with six options, two more than the last formula, with lemon lime and strawberry dreamsicle being the difference.
Overall the supplement doesn’t seem to have changed that much. The numbers and contents have been shifted around a little, and it does now have BCAAs. However it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if Super Charge 4.0 acted the same as the 3.0 version.
