Amino-Tren is a little different, Promera’s BCAA supplement reviewed

Amino-Tren is Promera’s entry into the amino cocktail market. It launched along side their thermogenic Capsi-Blast and was intending to be one of the few competitive formulas to feature caffeine. A number of other products from the category that were released this year also made use of the energetic ingredient to boost their over all feel. However as seen with Top Secret’s BCAA Hyperblend Energy, it didn’t actually work out so well. Either way we snatched up a bottle of Promera’s latest offering and have given it enough of a run to provide a solid review.

One look at Amino-Tren’s formula and you know it’s got a little more going for it than your average amino cocktail. While most of the supplements try to compete with heavy clean BCAA doses and recovery ingredients. Promera loaded up their package with a near 4g complex of BCAAs, EAAs, and for kicks some caffeine, B12, taurine, and black pepper. After running the product, it’s clear the revitalization effect is not as strong as some of the category’s best. However that was expected as Amino-Tren’s BCAA dose was not detailed, but presumably under 3g, if not less.

Even though the Promera supplement is not one of the best at recovery it’s energizing ingredients do a solid job at refueling your body and bringing you back post-workout. The experience is not as replenishing as Monster Amino or Amino Build, it is more of a steady sensation. Because it has a number of pre-workout features it is no surprise that it offers a semi-pre feeling, post. That being said, Amino-Tren also brings to the table a very strong multi-window ability. After training it may not be able to please you as much as some of the sole amino products. But pre and intra, Amino-Tren delivers a very pleasant and low intensity effect. That may not be much to justify it’s purchase if you’re looking for a separate pre and post formula. However if you’re after something to say good morning, or a mild kick for training, and interested in saving some cash by purchasing just the one item. Promera have basically delivered a two in one supplement that lives in between the amino and energizing category more than anything else on the market. If you do see the effects of Amino-Tren fitting you can also be confident enough to take 2 servings. As unlike some of it’s competitors the beta-alanine dose does not ruin an increase of scoops.

Amino-Tren does work, it delivers amino acids, and it has a point of difference. Fortunately while being a two faced formula it manages to carry an amino cocktail price. In most retailers the cost of a cocktail is around 20 to $25 for a month’s supply. Promera have been kind enough to set their retail price at the nice end of $20, and also the high end of a month, with 32 servings. The cost of the product is currently around $22, and with only a handful of retailers selling it, that is likely to go down. You can check out the supplement at BB.com right now as they are coincidentally running a special on Con-Cret, where you can get a free bottle of Amino-Tren with certain 48 serving Con-Crets.
