The last supplement Dymatize hit fans with was their big pre-workout sequel, Xpand 2X. Their most recently released product now is Super Amino 6000, a successor of the 4800 formula. The new 6000 version compared to the 4800 is actually down in most areas. The serving size for the latest one is 3 tablets with just 3g of protein, 1g a piece. However the older 4800 does 4.8g in 4, which is 1.2g a pill. In Dymatize’s defense they say the 1000mg volume allows for a much more convenient control of your daily intake.
To find an upside to the updated version you need to look deep into the calorie counts. The 4800 came with 5 per pill while the 6000 brings in a marginal victory with 3.33. Calculated up to 9 tablets, the gap does seem a lot bigger with a 30 to 45 win.
The other thing the brand have mixed up are the sizing options. The 4800 was available in a number of odd counts at 160, 300, 325, 450 and 500 tablets. The latest formula takes on just 3 with 180, 345 and 500 pills. The two versions do have some big differences but it seems the newer Super Amino 6000 will be the one forced onto fans as the 4800 is being dropped in most places.
