Anabolic Halo 3.0 is too much, Muscletech ruin their Performance Series with the all in one

We all knew the next Performance Series supplement Muscletech was going to release would be Anabolic Halo. Thanks to the recently uploaded Phil Heath review video we also knew 5 of the 7 categories the all in one product was going to bring together. With samples, reviews and plenty of other bits of promotion, Muscletech have also released a detailed sheet highlighting some of the supplements points.

The 7 products Muscletech have tried to jam into the 3rd generation Halo are, glutamine (5g), amino acids (6g BCAAs), carbs, creatine (5g), electrolytes, protein (40g) and a recovery matrix (500mg tart cherry). Based on the fact that the bottle weighs 1.1kg and a wild guess at 16 servings per tub. Each 2 scoop serving of the new Halo will round out at 68-69g.

If you add all of the doses Muscletech released together, you’ll notice that there is only about 13g left over for whatever else the brand have planned to put in it. Assuming that this does have 16 servings per tub, even if the remaining 13g is dedicated to the carbs it will come in with 4g less than the current Hardcore Pro’s carbs.

The all in one supplement is starting to look less and less like the Anabolic Halo that we all know and love. Muscletech may not be seeing it right now but they might have bitten off more than they can chew. Whether or not they have included the unique doses of BCAAs and EAAs that made the name Halo so strong. The other new blends have turned this product into a messy complicated formula.

Anabolic Halo Hardcore Pro is a high end recovery supplement. You can swap out things like Re-Con, Mutant Rehab or Monster Amino for it. This latest version is just confusing. Muscletech are basically saying don’t take Nitro-Tech, Cell-Tech or even Amino Build when it hits. The strategy of the products seems to throw off not just the Performance Series but all the products in it.

Supplements that group things all into one have always been a bit pushy. A carb and a protein yes. Aminos and protein. Glutamine and creatine. Putting two together usually works. 3 is generally too much. Each area ends up taking away from the other in order to make the price competitive or product producible. It has never worked for any other brand so should we really expect it to work for Muscletech?
