Scitec don’t exactly come off as a ‘supplements for athletes’ brand. However along with their many certifications like GMP, gluten free and Eurocert. They have one titled, Doping Free. It doesn’t look like any third party stamp (NSF), it is most likely the same as Muscletech and their Performance series. Just the added comfort of the line ‘no banned substances’, letting athletes know they have not used anything that would make them fail a drug test.
The reason Scitec and it’s banned substance stance was brought up is because, it is now the only company selling a diuretic with any sort of athlete approved stamp. Their recently released Water Cut is reasonably packed and in the small market of water loss supplements, it is the only product WADA tested athletes could consider safe.
Other formulas may not have an issue with being banned substances but it is the fact that they are not promoting it that sells them short. In the WADA world, on top of all the obviously illegal drugs, one of the things that athletes do commonly fail on are diuretics. Companies are always pushing the boundaries with fat burners and muscle builders, so it is nice to see a brand get creative and offer a solution to a known problem.
