Power3d comes in close to Assault, Scitec’s price and servings gives it the lead

Big Bang and Hot Blood were very similar with their unique effects. Scitec’s latest pre-workout, Power3d, has more relation to the likes of Assault, in formula and results. Even though the brand’s supplements are not that easy to get a hold of they are gaining quite the reputation and this review is a great example of just how varied the company’s range is.

Power3d comes in a nice 50 serving tub with a price a little bit below regular pre-workouts. Each half scoop is a serving so again, very similar to Assault. There are currently just two flavors on this one’s menu, which is not much compared to Hot Blood with six. Instead of going with fruit, orange or lemon, Scitec went with two not so exciting flavors. Charged cherry and electrifying apple. Both sound intense but sit about average on the scale of supplement tastes.

The formula is very small with just the regulars making the cut. Creatine, arginine, beta alanine, citrulline, glycine, rhodiola, caffeine and the company’s favorite carnitine. Looking at the ingredients you wouldn’t expect much of it but then again the same was said about the indisputable Monster Pump.

Compared to the likes of Jack3d, this product does not take long to kick in. About half the usual time. The one issue it does have is it’s effective duration. It starts out with a massive energy punch which unfortunately takes about 15 minutes before gradually dying out. This isn’t a sudden drop off, just a peak early in the session. The bonus is the only time you actually notice the energy has faded is when it is completely gone.

To resolve this quick and dead issue just sip the pre-workout throughout the early parts of your workout. Make sure you finish it within the first 10 to 15 minutes of the session. It will still maintain that kick at the beginning and get you training all the way to the end. This method works really well with most energy driven powders like Monster, N.O. Xplode, etc.

As mentioned at the start, Power3d does a great job at coming in comparable to Assault. The ‘Beast’ like effect has you going hard at the start and driving heavy all the way home. If one were to have the edge over the other, it would be close, but it would be Assault. On the other hand where Power3d loses out by the smallest of margins, it completely dominates with the 50 serving size and killer price.
