Anabolic State review becomes a battle, Nutrabolics versus Cellucor with amino acid formulas

Nutrabolics’ gift to the amino acid market is Anabolic State. The supplement contains a 10g complex containing  BCAAs, lysine, glutamine and HICA. Even though the formula is quite unique it is actually two ingredients away from being identical to the recently released ß-BCAA from Cellucor. So it is not surprise how similar the products are performance wise. Because the two are so close with results this review is basically a head to head.

When Cellucor’s amino was reviewed it proved to be quite effective, the only issue with it was the beta alanine. The ingredient gets a lot of attention, good and bad, this time around it was one of the bad ones. The problem was if you upped the dose of the BCAA the pins and needles side effect was unbearable. The recommended use is the single scoop however even a heaped one sparked the sensation.

Anabolic State has no beta alanine so it’s effects as you would imagine, are identical to Cellucor’s BCAA without the worry of pins and needles. Nutrabolics didn’t use label transparency for their supplement but based on it’s ß-BCAA like results we are going to take a guess and say, 5g glutamine, a 4g 2:1:1 ratio of BCAAs and the 1g leftover HICA and lysine.

It has a mild recovery feeling, not as strong as Aminolast or AminoX but definitely one you will notice. Muscle soreness and exhaustion quickly fades however the body’s depleted energy systems will remain empty. It lacks the popular ingredient citrulline, which is why fans will miss out on that revitalizing energy pop you can expect from Monster Amino and ß-BCAA.

Anabolic State sits somewhere in the runner’s up circle. Below some of the best but ahead of all the worst. It’s ability to up size the serving does give it the upper hand on BCAA, in saying that they do perform equally as well on just one scoop. Others that would be sitting outside the top with Anabolic are Muscle Martini and Purple PsyKO.

Unfortunately there are fat better amino acid supplements out there for this to be a good choice. Monster Amino is almost $10 cheaper, and it is easily the best one in the category. If you are planning on stacking something along these lines, why sell yourself short. Nutrabolics fans of course will stay loyal. The last thing they want is their jet black collection ruined by a flashy off colored bottle.

Very few brands can actually stake claims on two or more categories. They all do what they can and Nutrabolics did just that with Anabolic State. In a highly competitive amino acid market it is becoming more and more difficult for a product to get noticed. Yes the supplement works, but not as well as other cheaper, not as good looking formulas.
