Black Skull reveals the formula behind its new and improved Bone Crusher

Just yesterday it was confirmed that an all-new version of Black Skull’s pre-workout competitor Bone Crusher was on the way. It was definitely exciting news for us as the original US version turned out to be one of the worst pre-workouts we’d ever tried when we reviewed it back in April. Today we have a bit more information on Black Skull’s upcoming reformulation, including the reveal of its new and improved label.

Usually when we get a reformulation we compare the old and the new to give you an idea on how different it’s going to be, and what it might have more or less of. With Black Skull’s updated Bone Crusher it’s not exactly worth doing that, as the new and improved version almost looks like it’s not even the same pre-workout. While the original kept things simple with a 3g blend of beta-alanine, taurine, and arginine, as well as 1.6g of creatine and 140mg of caffeine. The reformulated Bone Crusher features nearly three times as many ingredients and its maximum serving weight is more than triple the size of its predecessor’s.

Black Skull’s new and improved Bone Crusher is now made up of three blends, which is an improvement although they are all proprietary blends. Starting with its biggest you have beta-alanine, betaine, creatine monohydrate, and glutamine, weighing in at a combined weight of 5.62g. Next is the 5.5g Pro Pump complex of citrulline malate (2:1), arginine AKG, and agmatine sulfate. Last but not least is Bone Crusher’s Energy & Focus complex tipping the scales at 3g with taurine, n-acetyl-l-tyrosine, choline bitartrate, caffeine anhydrous, theanine, theacrine, and panax notoginseng.

As you can see Black Skull has made a massive amount of changes to the supplement. It now packs a much larger list of ingredients, as well as a whole bunch of new features, suggesting the experience is going to be very different from the original US version. We won’t know how different until we actually try it, but it definitely doesn’t look like it’ll be similar, or at least the same as the Bone Crusher we reviewed as one of the worst pre-workouts we’d tried.

Another thing that looks like it’s going to be changing for Black Skull’s US Bone Crusher, is its variety of flavors. At the moment the brand’s retailer Bodybuilding.com has the product available in four tastes with Blueberry, Fruit Punch, Radioactive Lemon, and Yellow Fever. The reformulation is still going to have those four, but also two new additions in Wild Grape and Watermelon.

Unfortunately we still don’t know exactly when this one is going to be released, just that it is due to hit shelves before the end of the year. You’ll also notice from its label listed above that it is going to have significantly fewer servings per tub with 20 maximum servings or 40 single scoops, unlike its predecessor which had 60.
